Position Summary: The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of litigation, with a strong emphasis on trial preparation and e-discovery. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing case files, preparing legal documents, and utilizing e-discovery tools to ensure the efficient handling of complex cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of litigation, including case management, trial preparation, and e-discovery processes.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and trial binders.
- Conduct thorough e-discovery, including data collection, processing, review, and analysis of electronic evidence.
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop trial strategies and prepare trial materials, including exhibits and witness lists.
- Assist in the preparation for depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategies.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and coordinate schedules.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and ethical standards throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; paralegal certificate preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on trial preparation and e-discovery.
- Proficient in e-discovery software and tools (e.g., Relativity or similar).
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, legal terminology, and trial procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
